Day (01) Tripoli
Transfer from Tripoli airport to the Hotel.
Dinner & night at the hotel*****.

Day (02) Tripoli
Full day in the Tripoli including a visit to the excellent national museum, the old city, the souk, Islamic quarters and the arch of Marcus Aurelius.
Tripoli - Oea - the bride of the Mediterranean is the capital of Libya. It was founded by the Phoenicians in 1000 B.C. and was later conquered by the Romans.
Lunch in a local restaurant in the city.
The after noon is a free for independent exploration.
Dinner at a city restaurant.
Night at the hotel*****.

Day (03) Tripoli / Sabha
Drive to Sabha

Dinner & night at the Hotel.

Day (04) Sabha / Acacus
Enter the Acacus and meet your camel master. Spend the day forming a mutual admiration society with your chosen camel, learning to ride, mount and dismount. Camping.

Days (05-06-07-08-09-10) Acacus / Al-Awainat
Camel trek exploration of the magnificent Acacus with its spectacular scenery and millennia-old rock art. Wild camping with last night at Al-Awainat campsite.

Days (11) Al-Awainat / Jerma / Sabha
Drive to jerma. Visit museum and ancient site of the Garamantes civilisation. Continue to Sabha.
Overnight at the Hotel.

Day (12) Sabha / Gharyan
Full day's drive north to Gharyan
Lunch en route
Dinner & night at the Hotel.

Day (13) Gharyan / Leptis Magna / Tripoli
Full day to explore the wonderful site of the Roman City of Leptis Magna including a visit to the excellent museum. The highlight of any visit to Libya is to see Leptis Magna, now known as Libda. From Berber settlement it became important when it was established as a city by the Caanite ships from Tyre and Sidon in Phoenicia. In the 3rd century it became an even more important trading port under the Roman Emperor Septimus Servarus. We will see the vast site including the Triuphal Arch, the huge Basilica, the Forum, the Public Baths, the Hippodrome the Amphi-theatre, etc

Day (14) Tripoli / Sabratha / Tripoli
Morning departure to the extensive ruins of the Roman city of Sabrata. First settled by the Phoenicians as a trading post, it was transformed in a city by Romans and built during the 1 st and 2 nd centuries AD .The site offers a majestic collection of public and private buildings, the forum, the temples of Liber Pater, Serapis, Isis, Hercules, many baths, etc. The most outstanding monument at Sabrata is the theatre, beautifully restored.

Day (15) Tripoli
Transfer to the airport.
End of service.
